Job Title: Project Data Processor
Reports To: Start-up Manager
Objectives:
1. To provide support to the Start-up Manager in an effort to ensure that the goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
2. To assist the Special Projects manager to ensure complete and accurate completion of data-entry requirements of projects.
3. To assist in project implementations, as required.
4. To maintain current knowledge of Pharmacy operations and long-term care practice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Project support
1. Receive project documents, such as facility MAR sheets, facility profiles and enter required information into MediSystem’s database.
2. Collaborate with project team to determine priorities, set deadlines, and ensure optimal communications.
3. Maintain current knowledge of PHA system and upgrades, and changes in legislation related to pharmacy practice, including Ontario Drug Benefit.
4. Complete assigned pharmacy operations duties.
5. Assist the project team, when necessary, to complete other aspects of projects.
Customer Service
1. Understand company values and customer service standards and perform accordingly whenever in contact with a MediSystem client or with other MediSystem departments.
2. Abide by the patient confidentiality policies set forth by the pharmacy’s confidentiality policy, and all applicable legislation.
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience
1. Completion of college level certificate in pharmacy, or completion of post-secondary education courses plus 2 years experience in busy retail or hospital pharmacy practice.
2. Computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite, email and internet, pharmacy software programs.
3. Excellent knowledge of MediSystem PHA and Automed machine operations are assets, but demonstrated ability to be proficient within 3 months is required.
4. 1 year experience in a long-term care pharmacy and demonstrated overall understanding of pharmacy operations
5. Current knowledge of pharmacy knowledge of OCP regulations concerning standards of practice, pharmacists and Certified Pharmacy Technicians.
6. Good knowledge of Ontario Drug Benefit.

RELATIONSHIPS –
You are expected to develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Special Projects Manager, the Regional Manager of Operations Managers and other MediSystem employees.
WORKING CONDITIONS -
Pharmacy in office/warehouse location.
In the performance of the office duties, works seated at or near a computer desk or at a conference table to complete a majority of tasks.
Standing and walking with supplies will be required to prepare equipment and supplies for implementation.
Occasional operation of Automed machinery having moving parts, sharp paper cutter, and heat sealer.
Occasional travel .
Off-site overnight stays may be required.
Project support and implementation duties may be performed in long-term and other care facilities.
Occasional night or evening shifts or extended shifts.
